This flashmob looks like another youtube flashmob that I showed you some weeks ago: TESTÉ SUR DES HUMAINS. The goal of this flashmob is to improve people awareness.

This flash mob is the third more popular this month. It was viewed more than 1,116,140 times.

This flashmob dancing is really funny and interesting! Indeed, at the beginning we don’t know what happens. You can see a man beginning to dance on the flashmob music by  Tchaikovsky.

In this flashmob dancing, it is interesting to see the scenario that they dance. The story of this dance represents the conflict between the working class and the rich. What is great is that, at the end, the two groups dance together!

A second good point is that you can see that the participants have well prepared  this flashmob dancing. Look at the quality of the choreography! The dancer realizes it in a very good way : the rhythm, the coordination, etc. are very nice!

Then, there is unfortunately a small downside: a flashmob have to be surprising. Here, you can see that people wait for something before the beginning of the flashmob dancing. So they were aware. It is a little bit a shame.

However, this flashmob is a good one. It is a good idea to promote a new product. Indeed, Dell wanted to promote and celebrate their new tablet, the “Dell Streak”. When you see their competitors on this business, they had an interest in doing something big to attract people.

This flashmob youtube is really famous! Indeed, it was seen more than 3 093 500 times in two weeks! It is one of the most popular video of this month! And I understand it!

Why is this flashmob youtube so famous?

There are several reasons. The first reason of the celebrity of this flashmob youtube is the brand. Indeed, everybody knows TicTac!

The second reason is the surprise ! This kind of marketing is really good for a brand because people like to be surprised, they like go out of their everyday life. In this flashmob youtbe, they just use the advantage of the product what is allow people to have a good breath. They use this concept to realize an advert different than other brands.

The third reason is that this flashmob youtube is really funny. People like laughing! If you want to make a flash mob, make people smile, they will remeber you in a good way! Look at the people who are surprised by this flashmob! They all smile when they understand what happen and I’m sure that you will smile too when you will watch it! The concept is really simple but it is fun and what is more important in everyday life?

There is just one sad think: that it is not real. Indeed, it is actors so there is no spontaneity. So, it is not really a flashmob but, it is so funny that I wanted to show it to you!

This video over this flashmob dancing is called “Hammer Time Mob Dance” because of Mc Hammer who sing the flashmob music  ”U Can’t Touch This“.

This flashmob dancing happens in a store in Los Angeles. They all wear strange golden trousers. When the flashmob music begins, they arrive in the store and begin to dance in the middle of the crowd.

Two things are really funny in the video. The first is the reaction of people. They are really surprised and just stop what they do and watch around them. They are just thinking “What’s happen?! Is it real?!” It is nice to see this reaction because it is the goal a a flashmob dancing: to surprise people, attract their attention and make them smile. I think this flashmob is really good. The second thing is the age of participants. Indeed, something difficult in a flashmob is to bring people together. It is more difficult when it is a cross generational group because of the communication. Here, I think that they prepared this flashmob dancing in a really good way. Watch this man at 0’58”! It is really nice! And you have also people in suit, yound people, man and woman! It is great! A flashmob dancing is really a good reason to bring people together.

In these two youtube flashmobs, you can see that two things are really important : the originality and the quality of the choreography.

1. Youtube flashmobs, the originality

You can se in the two youtube flashmobs that there is something different than in another basic flashmob. In the first video (Michael Jackson Dance Tribute – STOCKHOLM), people dance on the famous flashmob music “Beat it” by Michael Jackson. What is original is the place where they dance. Indeed, you can see that people are dancing in the street where there are cars, bus, people, etc. Everybody wonder “what’s happening here?!”
For the second video called “BouncE Flash Mob @ Gröna Lund”, the originality is in the choreography. Have you ever seen a choreography of a flashmob where people dance lying of the floor?! It is really special and really great! It is a nice performance and a really good idea!

2. Youtube flashmobs, the choreography

Bounce is a street dance company. So, it is logical that the choreography is something good because it is something more simple than for  other people. Indeed, they have the training, they have a place to train and learn the choreography. So, we can see that they really prepared the youtube flashmobs in a good way.

On the 7th April 2011, in Times Square in New-York City, a man begins to make music thanks to a trash can in order to celebrate Wells Fargo, the famous bank. People are really surprised and it is a good point for a flashmob. At the beginning you can believe that it is a flashmob singing or a flashmob only with music but no, that is a flashmob dancing. Indeed, after some seconds, a group of dancers arrives. They wear blues and green sweaters. It is great because people can recognize them. It a sign of membership, community. It means “we are together”.

It is maybe what Wells Fargo will to show. Indeed, it is one of the values that they have. Besides, they say:  ”Standing together with our customers and communities“. ”Wells Fargo has understood the importance of both hiring and retaining a diverse workforce and serving a diverse community for more than 150 years. This flashmob is pleasant to see thanks to the diversity of flashmob music and activities. Indeed, they make music, they dance in group, some people make a little show oof break dance, they sing, etc.

I was searching on the internet to find something good to show you and I found this flashmob youtube! It is not something common. Indeed, basically a flashmob bring people in a same place to participate to a common project for a company, an association, a wedding, etc. You can notice that they generally dance or sing together to the surprise of the audience.

But in this flashmob youtube, it is different! Indeed, there is no choreography, there is no flashmob music but there is the surprise! And what a surprise!

At the beginning, you can see a man who let a bottle of plastic on the floor and go away. Many people pass next to this bottle but they don’t react until a woman finally pick it up. Then the participants wake up and applause this woman because they put the bottle in the trash can.

You understood, this flashmob was realized to make people take care about the environment. I think it is really good to make people realize that it is something important. It will improve their awareness.

In June 2011,  in Times Square in New-york City, the flashmob music “Don’t Wanna Go Home” resonated. Hundred of people came and began to dance on the music. This flashmob dancing is realized by the company AT&T. This company has “the largest international coverage of any U.S. wireless carrier, they offer the most phones that work in the most countries and the largest Wi-Fi network in the United States“.

This flashmob is really good for many reasons:

- The quality of the choreography. Indeed, you can see that this choreography is very elaborated. It is pleasant to see people dancing in a good way!

- The preparation. To realize a successful flashmob dancing, you have to prepare this event carefully. You have to find participants, to prevent everybody of the precise hour, the precise place, they have to learn the choreography and they have to begin it at the good moment. It is really a big challenge. In addition, in this flashmob dancing, you can see that there is a a first group which begins the choreography and in the middle of the song, other people come and take the choreography along the way. It is not easy for amateurs.
You can see that there is a good preparation thanks to their video (AT&T’s Music For You Flash Mob Instructional Video) on Facebook. All is calculated, they know how they have to dance, when they have to come, etc. It is really good! A good preparation worth it! The result is really good!

In 2008 and 2009, more than 3000 people decided to freeze Paris to realize a flashmob youtube. This concept comes from Improveverywhere. We have talked about it some weeks ago. You can read the article and watch the video here: Flashmob airport : Frozen Grand Central.

This kind of flashmob is not common. Indeed, basically a flashmob is an event that you make in order to surprise people thanks to a mix of different kinds of music, a choreography or/and a scenario. You  can make it for a company, to promote a product, a brand, to celebrate a birthday, a wedding, etc. Here it is different because there is no flashmob music, no choreography, etc. People just stop to move. This kind of originality is really fun!

And the originality is important for a flashmob youtube. Indeed, if you want people to watch your video, you have to be original. Indeed, if you make something too classical, it can be boring and you will not able to convey the message that you want to give.

So if I can give you a piece of advice, make something with good quality and originality!

For Fallone it is a day like any other, but she doesn’t know yet that this day will forever be one of the best day of her life. Indeed his boyfriend has a big surprise for her: a flashmob wedding proposal.

Matthieu and Fallone are in a restaurant called “Le paradis des fruits”. Suddenly, a little boy begins to dance on “Billie Jean” by Michael Jackson. Then there are two girls who are dancing on the flashmob music “Who Run The World” by Beyonce. They are followed by a group of people dancing on “Party Rock Anthem” by LMFAO.

The choreography takes end with the flashmob music ” With You” by Chris Brown. Matthieu appears on this music and Fallone begins to understand what is happening. She doesn’t resist and goes on Matthieu’s arms who will makes a speech that I translate for you:

“Fallone, since the first moment I saw you, I was born a second time. You’re the best thing that ever happened in my life. I want you for the worst and, most importantly, for the better.“

This is really nice to see because they just seem so in love. A flashmob with emotion is a good flashmob. So, this flashmob wedding is really great.

And another good point is the testimonials at the end of the video. When they will see it later, it will be better.

A flashmob dancing is something funny. Everybody likes it because it is really motivating, it brings people together, etc. In addition with this funny aspect, there is something more important. In this flashmob dancing, people dance for a good cause.

At the beginning, professionnal dancers of the Paris Opera Ballet dance on the music ”Blue Danube” by Johann Strauss’s. After some minutes, professional flashmobers and amateurs join them to dance on a music by Outkast. The choreography of this flashmob dancing is really nice to see. It was created by the stars of the Opera.

I really like it. It is 3 minutes of happiness! During 3 minutes you can see people smiling, dancing on a very good way on good flashmob music, etc. I think they managed to make something that everybody likes, with different kinds of music, cross-generational people, with good quality, etc.

The thing that I prefer in this flashmob airport is the end. Indeed, they had an original idea: to let some ballet shoes with the website www.24enfants.org. It is the website of the organisation called “La Chaine de l’Espoir” (the chain of hope). This association want to make people aware of children in developing nations who are seriously ill.

This flashmob airport, which takes place in Singapore, is really funny! At the beginning you can see a woman screaming. Indeed in the scenario she just have won money thanks to a game so she is very happy. She runs in the airport and shows her ticket to people who are present. Suddenly two men begin to play music to celebrate this incredible event. People are just surprised by their strange behavior. And then, many people begin to dance, there is more and more persons who are dancing in a good way. Indeed I am convinced that this flashmob airport is well prepared because you can see that people know when they have to dance, they are well coordinated, the flashmob music is good, etc. It is something really great! The result of a flashmob depends on the preparation of the event, of the choreography, the music, the scenario. It depends also of the communication that you have with people during all the preparation, etc. Here I think that it is a real good flashmob airport thank to the good organisation of people!

A second really good element is the end of the flashmob. Generally, people make a flashmob airport to celebrate a new route or they want to make an advertisement for their shop which is in the airport, etc. Here it is different: people launch some lottery tickets. The airport create a new concept, indeed each week one person has the chance to win 1,000$ and people has also the possibility to become millionaire! As usual, I was searching a good flashmob youtube to show you. I wanted to show you something special, something great and pleasant to see. And I find this video! Here people are dancing on the music “Jailhouse Rock” by Elvis Presley, an old song but still famous! I thing this flashmob youtube is really good for many reasons:

- The flashmob music: It is nice to see that we can realize a good flashmob, something young and dynamic with an old song.

- The choreography: It is great to have two groups of people dancing. Indeed you can see a little group who made the scenario and the big group is maybe more usual. It create a real dynamism in the choreography. You will never get tired thanks to it.

- The scenario: Here the most original is the scenario, they really created a show with actors, with the good guys and the bad guys. It is great!

- The color: At the beginning, they are nothing really surprising, the little group is black and the other wear not particular clothes. But  at one moment, you can see the big group in with and the other in black. They create together strips, like the t-shirt of the prisoner. It is really original!

Originality is really important in a flashmob youtube. You don’t have to make something spectacular but just different. This flashmob is really a good example! I really like it!

There is just a negative point: they inform people of their event, it is not really the usual process of a flashmob. It is a shame…

If you want to see an original wedding, you are at the right place! Here is what we call a flashmob wedding.

There is two kinds of flashmob wedding:

- It can be something organized to make a surprise, a present for the happy couple. So during the reception people begin to dance without the couple knowing anything.

- The second possibility is that the newlyweds organize it. So often after the ceremony, the music resonnate and they begin to dance followed by there friends, familly, etc.

Here it is the second possibility, so it is a flashmob wedding organized by the couple. It is really good for many reasons:

- The music: This music is really famous and really good to make a flashmob. Besides we have already made an article which talks about it: Flashmob music : LMFAO – Party Rock Anthem.

- The choreography: It is difficult to make something great for all the people, all the generations. Here, I am convinced that they prepared it for long time. And the result is really great. Indeed, the choreography is not so difficult but it is nice and the majority of people are well coordinated.

- The end of the flashmob: I think a wedding is something important in the life of a couple. It is important to feel supported by the family and the friends. Here at the end, you can see that people create a human tunnel, a way to lead the lovers to happiness. It is really symbolic and I think it is important. So if you want to create a flashmob wedding or a flashmob dancing, make something in link with the reason of your event.

I really like it and I think that people who realized it were happy too. Now watch it and I hope you will enjoy it yourself.

This flashmob dancing takes places in Montréal in several places. Firstly they dance in the Place des Arts, secondly they make the show on the Square Victoria, then they go on the Place Jacques-Cartier and they finally arrive, for the last dance, on the Champs de Mars.

These dances are the same. Indeed:

- They use the same flashmob music: “Beat it” by Michael Jackson;

- The flashmob dancing begins in the same way : A little boy with a red and white t-shirt begins to dance the famous choreography of “Beat it” and then people join him.

You will say me that it is not original. Indeed, there are many flashmob which use the same flashmob music. Besides, you can see the three others articles that I wrote about it: Flashmob dancing: Prison’s flash mob Michel Jackson’s song, Flashmob dancing : flash mob hazebrouck and Flashmob dancing : Flashmob in Hollywood. But there is something original which can make a big buzz. It is the fact that they realized this flashmob dancing in several places the same day, the 27th of July in 2009. It is really interesting because more people will see it and then, talk about it. It is a very good idea. And this idea comes from “Armistice”.
